HGT is delighted that DAS staff have chosen the Hollie Gazzard Trust as their charity of the year for 2016/2017.
Stuart Gascoigne, Corporate Responsibility Advisor commented: “DAS is proud to support the Hollie Gazzard Trust, which was chosen by employees as our Bristol Charity of the Year. The Trust is very close to the hearts of many people at DAS and collectively we hope to raise funds so the Trust can continue their sterling work raising awareness to protect the safety of young people and their families in Gloucestershire and around the country. It is admirable to see just how much the Trust has achieved in such a short space of time since Hollie’s tragic death in 2014, such as the development of the ‘Hollie Guard’ app which turns smartphones into personal safety devices and their partnership with Gloucestershire College to support young hairdressers through their training.”
Nick Gazzard, Chairman of the Trust said: “I am delighted that DAS Employees have chosen the Trust as their charity for the next two years. I am looking forward to working with the charity committee on a number of fundraising activities to raise vital funds for the Hollie’s Young People Programme. I am also privileged to have the opportunity to raise the awareness of domestic abuse and stalking amongst staff and will provide training on this, and coercive control, as a part of the Wellwise programme.”
