Evidence captured on Hollie Guard has now been used in a groundbreaking first conviction for the app.
Hollie Guard, and the fast response from the monitoring team, was crucial in securing a conviction for a non-fatal suffocation and assault on a 30 year-old woman at her home in Scunthorpe in November 2023.
Footage of the assault was captured on Hollie Guard and showed her saying “Help me”. Jordan Naif, also 30 of Scunthorpe, threw his distressed partner into a bath and pushed her head underwater. Clips of the attack were shown in court as Naif was sentenced to 22 months in prison.
This has once again proved how reliable and important Hollie Guard is to the people who use it. Our aim has always been to keep it free of charge to those who need it most, which is why we are crowdfunding this month.
