Former Miss Cheltenham, Sophie Lydia Smith, has joined the Hollie Gazzard Trust on the board of Trustees. The 25-year-old, the youngest Trustee to be appointed, is no stranger to HGT having worked alongside Mandy Gazzard, Chloe Gazzard, Sophy Gardner and Juliette Crosby as an Ambassador. The building surveyor, who’s only recently hung up her tiara is excited about her new role with the Trust. “I’ve been an Ambassador for the Hollie Gazzard Trust for 16 months and really enjoyed every challenge…” says Sophie. Her support and fundraising to-date includes running two half marathons, holding her own fundraising events, volunteering, making Hollie hearts, taking part in a devil mud run and even jumping out of a plane! She says: “It is tough, but also very rewarding.”

Chairman, Nick Gazzard, says: “The skills and experience that Sophie has gained as Miss Cheltenham will lend themselves to the work the Trust is doing. She was a great Ambassador and we will get to work even closer with her as we continue to grow as a charity.” Sophie continues: “I plan to bring some new and fresh ideas… as well as continuing to support the important projects already in hand.”
