The Morrisons supermarket in Up Hatherley, Cheltenham, recently made a generous donation to the Trust. They regularly donate to local charities, community groups and events within the Gloucestershire community. On this occasion, Charlotte Davis, Community Champion at Morrisons, contacted Nick Gazzard with the aim of kindly donating items to those who have suffered domestic abuse and/or violence. The items included soaps, toothbrushes, toothpastes, sanitary items, nappies and lotion for babies.
The Trust works alongside GDASS to support young people and those who have suffered at the hands of an abusive relationship. Nick gave the donated items to GDASS who can provide a number of vulnerable people with important supplies to help them when they need it most. Many of those who have suffered domestic abuse have had to flee from their home or move in to a refuge so are having to live on limited supplies.
Nick said ‘We are very greatful to Morrisons for donating items that will benefit a number of vulnerable individuals in our County. I am sure that GDASS will put the items to good use.’
We’d like to say a huge thank you to Morrisons for their generosity and being proactive in getting in touch with the Trust to make this donation happen.
