The HGT Masquerade Gala Dinner at Hatherley Manor Hotel proved to be a huge success on Saturday night. Chairman of the Trust, Nick Gazzard, hosted 200 guests at the annual event that raised a staggering £12.5K for the charity! Nick was joined by Mark Cummins from BBC Radio Gloucester, who helped compere the auction which included lots from artist Russell Haines, whose portrait of Nick with Hollie was part of the city’s Our Life project earlier this year. Other prizes included bespoke clothing from Barrington Ayre and hw2, alongside jewellery from Beards, Anna Rennie and Wendy Murphy from WMM Silver. Stables Photography kindly donated a portrait photography session, and surprised guests with vouchers hidden under chairs, while various eateries provided prizes including Jesse’s, Marinades, The Mayflower Restaurant, Ember Inns and Ellenborough Park.
The Trust would like to thank all those who kindly donated prizes as well as the 200 guests who supported the sell-out event on the night! It was a magical evening with music by the Chequered Souls and dancing until 1am. Guests also enjoyed a photo booth, casino and raffle.
The money raised will help to support the Trust’s ongoing programmes, CRUSH and Rae, working with young people, as well as a new initiative combating stalking – more details to follow – students at GlosCol and joint ventures with Increase the Peace. Funds will also help with other new plans to be rolled out during 2017. To see how much fun we all had, please visit our Facebook page: Hollie Gazzard Trust and Twitter: @HollieGazzardT.
