On a sunny Sunday, 25th March 2018, 46 quiz teams came out in their droves to pit their wits in support of two Gloucestershire charities. We wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who came. The Pitville Pump Room in Cheltenham was a complete sell-out and everyone contributed to a really fun evening.

The event was another of Klara Sudbury’s, the Mayor of Cheltenham, fundraising events for her two elected charities, the Hollie Gazzard Trust and Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Trust. Money raised from tickets sales and the raffle are to split between the two.

With Quizmaster duties falling on ITVs ‘The Chaser’ Paul Sinha, aka Sinnerman, the questions were never going to be easy. With 3 rounds of 20 questions, including one round based on topics around Paul, all teams needed to have done their homework.

The eventual winners were Quizzical Graffiti with a very respectable 48 points out of 60, with Route 51 and The Scrambled Eggheads just behind on 46 points.

The real winners though were the charities involved. Again, we’d like to thank everyone who attended, help to organise and delivered a great evening for all involved.

Nick Gazzard said: ‘’We knew tonight was going to be busy as tickets sold out quite quickly. But we are delighted to be involved and had a fantastic evening of entertainment. Thank you to all the people who came out on a Sunday night to support the event. It really does make a difference and because of events like this we can keep doing what we are doing. It’s brilliant. ‘’

The Mayor has more events coming up including: The Rock Horror Picture Show, Afternoon Tea with the Mayor and The Mayor’s Well Fit Morning.

Also see some of our other events which includes Walk4Hollie and our charity Golf Day.

We look forward to seeing you all again soon!
