Saturday 18th February 2017 marked the third anniversary of Hollie’s tragic death and we were joined by family and friends at her memorial bench on Southgate Street in Gloucester to remember her. At 6.51pm, the exact time Hollie died, there was two minutes of silence, followed by prayers.
It’s a difficult time for us as a family, and I would like to thank all those who came and paid tribute to Hollie. It’s also a poignant reminder of why the Hollie Gazzard Trust is continuing to grow and the important work that is currently underway.
I miss Hollie every single day. The anniversary of her death is a very tough day – an emotional day. The thousands of messages of support which we receive makes a big difference to us. Hollie was loved by so many people and we would like to thank them all for continuing to show how much they care. The March issue of Hollie Gazzette is a tribute to the beautiful young woman whose smile, wit and laughter I still miss, and who is the inspiration for the Trust, everything it stands for and the reason we continue to work hard to change peoples’ lives. I hope we continue to make a difference”.
