The Hollie Gazzard Trust is pleased to announce the roll out of the Best Bar None scheme across Gloucester, with The Lord High Constable of England (JD Wetherspoons) becoming the first venue to achieve accreditation.
Best Bar None is a nationally recognised accreditation scheme that promotes safer socialising by working with licensed venues to improve safety, staff training, and overall customer experience. The scheme, supported by the Home Office, ensures that venues meet high standards in responsible management, security, and customer care.
By bringing Best Bar None to Gloucester, the Hollie Gazzard Trust is reinforcing its commitment to creating safer spaces in the city’s night-time economy.
Nick Gazzard OBE, Founder of the Hollie Gazzard Trust, said: ‘’We are delighted to see The Lord High Constable become the first Best Bar None accredited venue in Gloucester, and lead the way in making Gloucester safer. The scheme plays a vital role in making our city safer, promoting responsible venue management and giving people confidence when they visit bars, pubs, and clubs. We are keen to work with more venues across Gloucester and encourage them to get accredited to help create a safer, more enjoyable environment for everyone.”
The success of this scheme in Gloucester is made possible through funding by Gloucester City Council, Gloucestershire City Safe and Gloucester BID.
Liam Stack, Manager at The Lord High Constable of England said: ‘’ I’m thrilled that we have been accredited by Best Bar None this year. Myself, and my staff, are committed to creating a space where everyone can feel comfortable and safe, and to be recognised for this has given us all a wonderful sense of pride in our work.’’
The Hollie Gazzard Trust will continue working with venues across the city to expand the scheme and encourage more businesses to commit to raising safety standards. If you are a venue interested in becoming Best Bar None accredited, please get in touch with us at info@holliegazzard.org
