Cheltenham Half Marathon

The second Cheltenham Half Marathon took place on Sunday 7 September and Trustee, Aaron Abbott ran on behalf of HGT, one of the five that he will be doing during the Autumn. In addition, 3 guys from Hatherley FC, Simon Jones, Stu Worgan and Jo Gorry also ran to raise funds for the charity. We arrived at the ‘village’ for the start of the race at 9:00am which took in such sites as the racecourse and the promenade during the 15 mile race.

The weather was perfect and times that were achieved were good as well. Aaron achieving a time of 1 hour 50 and Simon just behind. Both commenting that the uphill climb at the racecourse towards the end of the race was really difficult.

HGT would like to thank all those that ran on Sunday and for raising funds for HGT. A massive £600 from team Hatherley FC.
