Cheltenham Town FC have got off to a flying start with their Fill the Paddock campaign.

Despite being unable to fulfill all fixtures due to the Coronavirus outbreak, Cheltenham Town’s fantastic 2019/20 season has been rewarded with a 4th place finish in the table and a place in the EFL League 2 playoffs. This will involve home and away matches against Northampton Town FC, with a date to be confirmed in June. However, due to current social distancing measures, the team will play these fixtures behind closed doors with no supporters able to attend. So, they have launched the ‘Fill the Paddock’ campaign to give fans of both clubs the opportunity to have an image of their faces on foamex boards to create an ”artifcial army” of supporters in the stadium, courtesy of Typecraft and Signcraft.

The plan is to Fill The Paddock with 500 fans to show the players, and the world that the town is right behind the team during the crucial play-offs. A pledge of at least £25 will give you the opportunity to add your own ‘cardboard cut-out’ to The Paddock which they will return to you, signed, as soon as it’s safe to do so. They will also give you the opportunity to send a short video of you supporting the Robins from home, which will be shown in a continuous loop on the scoreboard during the game.

As the Robins’ charity partner for the 2019/20 season, we are delighted to be a part of this campaign as the club have plans to donate 10% of all the profits to the Hollie Gazzard Trust. Yet another demonstration of what a fantastic football club Cheltenham Town is, and the success of the campaign so far has proved how engaged the town and the supporters are to their club.
