Workshops for Communities

In memory of Hollie Gazzard, we offer engaging, informative workshops for community groups and organisations, designed to raise awareness of unhealthy behaviours, promote safe relationships, and support informed decision-making. Our sessions empower individuals with the knowledge and confidence to recognise the signs of abuse, understand boundaries, and take steps to protect themselves and others within their communities.

Offerings

Personal Safety with Hollie Guard

This is a 45-60 minute presentation which will cover Hollie's story and the creation of the trust. This session also introduces our free personal safety app, Hollie Guard. We will look at the app and its functionality in detail so that by the end of the session, individuals will be able to start using the app with ease, once downloaded.

Coercive and Controlling Behaviour Awareness

This half-day (3-hour) session offers a clear and compassionate insight into coercive control, a form of abuse that can deeply impact victims, their families, and loved ones.

Through real-life examples, discussion, and interactive activities, participants will explore how coercive control works, the tactics abusers use, and how to recognise the warning signs. The session also highlights the importance of early intervention, safe support strategies, and the link between coercive control and serious harm, including homicide.

Ideal for community members, volunteers, and professionals who want to better understand and respond to this often-hidden form of abuse.

Stalking Awareness

This half-day (3-hour) workshop offers a comprehensive look at stalking, what it is, how it affects victims and their loved ones, and how to safely support someone who may be at risk.

Through Hollie’s story and real-life case examples, participants will explore stalking behaviours, profiles of perpetrators, current legislation, and the link between stalking and homicide. The session includes guidance on reporting, safe disclosure, and how to create effective safety plans

Active Bystander: Challenge Sexual Harassment

Available as a half-day or full-day programme, this workshop empowers individuals in the community to confidently and safely intervene when witnessing sexual harassment.

Participants will explore what it means to be a bystander, typical reactions, and how to take positive, non-threatening action using a four-stage intervention model. Grounded in social psychology and real-life scenarios, the session encourages safe, effective responses that can make a real difference.

Developed in partnership with academics Professor Rachel Fenton and Dr Nate Eisenstadt of Kindling Interventions, this training provides practical tools and emotional support strategies to help create safer, more respectful communities for everyone.

Lone Working

This 2-hour workshop explores the key safety considerations for individuals who spend time working or volunteering alone in the community.

Participants will learn how to identify potential risks, carry out basic risk assessments, and implement practical measures to stay safe. The session also looks at the emotional and physical challenges of lone working and explores tools and strategies, including personal safety apps, that can offer additional support and protection.

Ideal for volunteers, community members, or anyone regularly spending time alone in public or private settings.
