A locally inspired footwear brand, designed and distributed in Gloucestershire, ‘Cotswold’, has chosen the Hollie Gazzard Trust to be their charity of the Year.
The styles in the UK label’s ‘wellington’, ‘hiking’ and ‘lifestyle’ ranges reflect the daily life of the Cotswold countryside and showcases a range of country footwear from hiking boots, to country casuals to wellington boots. The wellington collection gives a full flavour of the region from practical boots through to colourful festival wellies. The Cotswold brand, established in 1973, is designed and distributed in the UK by Gloucestershire-based footwear experts, Gardiner Bros & Co (Leathers) Ltd who have been wholesaling footwear and leather goods since the 1860’s. The Cotswold brand is one of the top players in the footwear sector winning Outdoor Brand of the Year in February this year in an awards ceremony endorsed by The British Footwear Association (BFA), the Independent Footwear Retailer’s Association (IFRA), Society of Shoe Fitters (SSF) and Footwear Today.
The sales team behind the Cotswold brand at Gardiners will be supporting the Hollie Gazzard Trust by raising awareness of the charity and actively promoting the work of the trust. As well as increasing knowledge of the personal safety device, the charity’s Hollie Guard app, particularly to lone walkers and hikers in rural areas through their media platforms. As the brand takes its inspiration from the Cotswold Hills, the team have a sponsored corporate event planned in July where they will be taking the personal challenge of walking a section of the Cotswold Way.
