The Brickhampton Court Golf course was an idyllic setting for our 2018 Golf Day. Basking in the sunshine and the smell of the BBQ in the air, 14 teams arrived from 11am onwards to take part in one of our key fundraisers for the year. With a Stableford scoring format in play, teams of 3 or 4 were tasked with playing all 18 holes. Individual and team prizes were on offer for the winners.

Once the players started to come home after completing 18 holes, the BBQ was stoked and ready for us all to tuck in to some earned food to re-energise. During which time all of the official scoring was taking place. It was close for both the individual and team prizes, but there can only be one winner for each! So, a huge congratulations to Colin Penson, who took the individual trophy home, and the Woodmancote CC Hackers who took the team winners prize.

Our silent auction and raffle also took place in the evening. Thank you to all the businesses who donated prizes for us to be able to auction and raffle, everything was accounted for and helped us out hugely with regards to fundraising.

We’d like to thank Brickhampton Court, our sponsors and all the players who took part in what was a great day and a success in raising funds for the Hollie Gazzard Trust. Players came from the length and breadth of the UK and it was great to see everyone. After some calculations, we are so pleased to say everyone’s effort raised a superb £3,100 surplus for the charity. These important funds will be put towards our projects to raise awareness of stalking, domestic abuse, domestic violence, knife crime and also young hairdressers in our county.

Thank you again to everyone who made it possible. Our Golf Day event for next year will take place in September 2019 so we will update you on that when possible.
