💜 On Friday 9th July 2021 we celebrated our first ever Purple HollieDay event. The date was purposely planned to coincide with Hollie’s birth month, with the ethos of the event being to celebrate.

We encouraged individuals, business, schools/colleges and other organisations to #GoPurple whilst raising awareness of and funds for the Hollie Gazzard Trust⁣. We had so many supporters who got creative and helped support our Healthy Education Workshops in schools and colleges; making a real difference to young people⁣.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who got involved and went purple for the day. There were so many photos uploaded to social media, it was incredible looking through them all and seeing how much fun everyone had.

We’d like to say thank you to:

  • Thomas Keeble School
  • Mercedes Benz of Cheltenham and Gloucester
  • EG Carter
  • Kirby & Knott Financial Planning
  • Paradigm Consulting
  • Dashing Bear Productions

Purple HollieDay 2021

Over the course of the day people took on personal challenges, with Jennie Watkins giving up swearing for a day, and businesses undertook fundraisers including: The Village Cakery selling purple cupcakes, Cass Stephens Insurance had a purple dress down day and Paradigm Consulting also got in on the cake action!

We saw some fantastic purple outfits incluing: the cute dogs from Five Valleys Canine Hydrotherapy Centre and even the builders at Kings Square, Gloucester, for EG Carter wearing purple hard hats for the day to celebrate.

Nick Gazzard said: ”Purple HollieDay was fantastic. We run various events throughout the year and we are particularly excited to launch this one. This really does allow people to have fun, get creative with their friends, family or colleagues, and really think about how having happy and healthy relationships can enrich our lives. We reach out to so many young people and will continue to educate them on what healthy relationships are and how to treat other people respectfully. I’m looking forward to Purple HollieDay 2022 already!”
