Police urge people to give up screwdrivers as part of Knife Surrender campaign in Gloucestershire

People who have screwdrivers on them for reasons other than DIY purposes in Gloucester city centre will be treated the same way as those who carry knives. Gloucestershire Constabulary are urging people to ditch knives and tools potentially used fort intimidation as part of a month-long ‘surrender’ campaign. The knife surrender is being supported by the Hollie Gazzard Trust, which launched after the 21-year-old woman was stabbed at work in 2014.
