ITV West News Presenter Kylie Pentelow has joined the Hollie Gazzard Trust. The TV anchor has become an ambassador and joins fellow professional Julie Etchingham, of ITV News at 10, who is Patron. Kylie Pentelow presents the ITV national news at the weekend. She has also been the US Correspondent for ITV’s breakfast programme, reporting from New York.

Before working at ITV, Kylie was at the BBC in the East Midlands as well as working for the Corporation in Oxford, Birmingham, Bristol and on the BBC News Channel. Kylie’s work has spanned all areas of journalism – from breaking news to celebrity interviews, from studio presenting to live broadcasts.

Kylie said of her appointment: “Sometimes, when you are presenting the news, there are stories that stand out.  Stories that you take home, stories that have an impact on you personally.  That was what happened when I first reported on Hollie Gazzard.  Presenting for ITV News West Country for the past three years, I have followed her story – from the court case, to Nick’s remarkable campaigning.

“And more recently I conducted an in-depth interview with Nick.  It was then that I saw how much Hollie’s death has changed his life, and that of their family.  Some would have closed the doors and never wanted to face the world – not the Gazzards.  What they have achieved, and continue to achieve, has been remarkable.

“I hope that I may be able to help, in a small way, with the Trust in the future,” she added.
