International Women’s Day 2019

Our Founder, Nick Gazzard was invited to speak at a conference held by Munich Re in London to celebrate International Women’s Day. The theme and message was:

‘’The future is exciting. Let’s build a gender-balanced world. Everyone has a part to play – all the time, everywhere. From grassroots activism to worldwide action, we are entering an exciting period of history where the world expects balance. We notice its absence and celebrate its presence. Balance drives a better working world. Let’s all help create a #BalanceforBetter.”

The speakers at the event included Jane Portas, a partner at PWC who delivered a ‘Financial Health Report’ cantered on ‘securing the financial future of the next generation’. This included 6 moments that matter to men’s and women’s financial lives, along with the 12 financial Perils and Pitfalls facing women in today’s society.

Nick also spoke about the Working Without Fear programme he developed detailing the impact of domestic abuse and stalking in the workplace, concentrating on the impact on women and their careers. He also spoke about safeguarding and introduced Hollie Guard to the audience.

Over 100 attended the event from across the insurance industry and London Market.
