Indian Rasoi is hosting a charity dinner to support the Hollie Gazzard Trust.
The popular Indian and Bangladeshi restaurant, situated on Dollar Street, run by Roman Abu, will host the evening on Wednesday 25 October, with a set menu for all to enjoy and all profits going to the Hollie Gazzard Trust, a charity created following the murder of 20-year-old Hollie Gazzard by her ex-partner. The charity helps reduce domestic violence through creating and delivering programmes on the subject as well as promoting healthy relationships to schools and colleges.
Hollie experienced domestic abuse as part of her relationship that was to end in her losing her life at hairdressers, Fringe Benefits in Gloucester City centre on 18 February 2014.
Nick Gazzard, Hollie’s father and CEO and Founder of the trust, works with organisations across the country to spread the word on coercive control, domestic and abusive relationships and knife crime.
The trust has achieved a lot in its limited time, including developing HollieGuard, a personal safety app which is available to download on smartphones. It is one of the most downloaded safety apps in the UK . For more information, please visit the website www.hollieguard.com
