We were joined by an incredible community of supporters who came together in the glorious May sunshine to take part in Walk4Hollie 2025, and what an inspiring day it was. With the sun shining so brightly, it felt as though Hollie was walking with us!

A huge thank you goes to every single person who walked with us, donated, cheered us on, or helped spread the word. Your support is so gratefully received, not only to the charity, but to every life that will be impacted through the education, awareness, and prevention work we do.

We are especially grateful to Hartpury Residential Life, who not only generously sponsored the event but also brought along an energetic and passionate team of walkers. Your support made a huge difference. Thank you. Thanks also to our hosts once again, The Glevum Inn, for providing a welcoming space to start and finish the walk.

Hollie Gazzard Trust CEO, Jane Harvey, said: ”The annual Walk 4 Hollie event was an opportunity for Gloucester to remember the amazing Hollie Gazzard. Hollie was a beloved daughter, sister, auntie and friend and a talented and creative hairdresser. It is now 11 years since she was murdered but the devastating impact of what happened never goes away.  It drives us to change things and prevent other families and communities from going through what Hollie’s family has experienced, and continues to experience.”

”There is still so much work that needs to be done to make sure every young person is empowered to choose healthy relationships and to keep those at risk safe. If anyone would like to support us, please get in touch via our website.”

Your support allows us to educate young people, raise awareness about healthy relationships, and teach the signs of abuse before it’s too late. We aim to prevent to prevent future tragedies through education, and honour Hollie’s name.

Jane said: ”Hollie was murdered as a result of being in an abusive relationship. Her boyfriend was physically violent and controlling and when she ended the relationship, he stalked her, before stabbing her to death whilst she worked at a hair salon in the city centre. Hollie’s family set up The Hollie Gazzard Trust to prevent future harm by educating people about the warning signs of abusive behaviour and protect people via our safety app Hollie Guard.”

Thank you for walking with us.
